PhilPDX50 I can't add much to what others have said. Fantastic album in the best tradition of Berlin school electronic music. Familiar, yet fresh. Outstanding. Favorite track: Flowpoint.

Televiper Continually impressed with how you get these vintage sounds: masterful Berlin school synth work. Favorite track: Flowpoint.

Gideon Excellent Berlin school of music album! And good luck with re-fitting your studio!!! Favorite track: Flowpoint.

Dale Moore I’ve probably said it before, but this really is Brendan’s best so far. If you love 70s Tangerine Dream, you’re in for a real treat; if you love Rubicon Pt 2, hold on to your seats folks! Favorite track: Flowpoint.

vearnc1963 Brendan gets better and better. Love this immediately on first listen. Such a lush organic sound and development to the pieces. Glorious stuff. Favorite track: Viaduct.

“Phrases and Protocols” was recorded in May and June 2021 and was just a joy to make and each piece just naturally fell into place so I decided the music deserved a factory pressed silver CD. You will certainly hear some nods to the early and mid 70’s Tangerine Dream, the classic years. I’m taking a Summer break so no more new music until maybe Autumn/Winter. I need to rearrange the studio, get some more kit serviced and make a decision about moving forward to maybe a more modern system of recording, a daunting prospect, perhaps I’ll stay with my prehistoric methods who knows.
